Air Rarotonga in conjunction with well known national heritage director Gerald McCormack, is proud to present the 2009 National History Expedition Series.
Gerald has lived and researched in the Cook Islands for many years and is a regular lecturer on eco-tourism expedition ships, including the World Discoverer, National Geographic Endeavour and Clipper Odyssey. Between Rapanui and Fiji he has lead natural history tours on many Polynesian islands.
Join Gerald on a three day expedition exploring the unique geology, flora and fauna of the islands of Mangaia, Atiu and Mitiaro.
Each evening before dinner, Gerald will present a multimedia presentation on ethno-biology, biodiversity and geology of the islands.
The Expeditions involve some walking including cave visits which require a normal level of walking fitness. Download our brochure for full details of these fascinating expeditions.
